Individuals that suffer from issues with this gland may suffer from several different health complications. The thyroid is a relatively small gland that is located in the lower region of the neck. Its sole responsibility is to secrete certain hormones throughout the body. There are two specific hormones that are released by this specific gland.
The first is known as “Thyroxine” or “T4″ and the second is known as “Triiodothyronine” or “T3″. The hormones that are released are responsible for delivering energy to the various cells in the body.

These are not Thyroid problems! It is an immune problem! Your immune system is mistakenly attacking TPO or TBG (Hashimotos) or TSH (Graves Disease). There is an imbalance in your immune system that needs to be addressed.
You need proper testing to first find out the cause of your immune problem- then you can take care of it.
One of the most frustrating symptoms associated with low thyroid is weight gain. Although patients may have several symptoms associated with low thyroid, this is the one they often look most forward to resolving with treatment.
Ironically, hormone replacement therapy and birth control pills are often prescribed to alleviate hormonal complaints associated with menopause or menstruation problems, including hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances and excessive or irregular periods. Although many of these symptoms are hallmark traits of menopause, they are also symptoms that may be caused by or related to a low thyroid condition.
In the conventional medical model, TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) levels are evaluated to determine whether or not the thyroid is functioning properly. If you have a high TSH level, you'll be diagnosed with low thyroid. If you do not have a high TSH level, you will most likely not be diagnosed, even if you continue to suffer with symptoms that seem to match perfectly with low thyroid!
We know there are actually six core patterns that will cause all of the underactive thyroid symptoms. A failure to consider these patterns is the primary reason you may go undiagnosed. If your TSH is all that's looked at and TSH levels appear perfectly fine, it is highly likely you will not be diagnosed for low thyroid.
